An unarmed group of kids seemingly between the ages of approximately 14 and 17 robbed a Wells Fargo Bank, and are still on the run [as of 72 hours later]. (according to NBC News 4 San Antonio)
Eye-witnesses report the hooligans’ conversation with one another repeatedly referenced Bitcoin presently reaching new all-time highs well above $69,420, along with their plans to “HODL” and “ride this m.f. to the moon” (source needed). So-called “boomers” going about their day-to-day banking were aghast and seemed perplexed. Testimony provided indicates the boys seemed to lack organization, spending much of their time arguing between themselves regarding the merits of BTC, SOL and WIF while openly plotting how each intended to spend their take from the heist.
The official FBI Houston account on X (formerly Twitter) made a post on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 that instantly gained traction, deeming the robbers “Little Rascals”.
Recognize these "little rascals"? Believe it or not they just robbed the Wells Fargo at 10261 North Freeway. If you know who and where they are contact police immediately or @crimestophou at 713-222-TIPS. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/0rw6jfPFEA

The Twittersphere exploded with comments and retweets regarding the debacle, commending the brazen youths and mocking the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (US FBI) for their utter ineptitude, since divulging they had “no leads” on the case, and for the public relations nightmare that was seeking information from the public who for the most part turned out to be adoring fans of the these “Little Rascals”. Some comments lamented the parentage of today’s American youth and the purported downfall of society.

“The age of the younger two, that’s unusual for a bank robbery,” Mike Schneider, a retired juvenile district court judge, told our sister station KTRK. “It’s one of the first times I’ve seen that.”
Wells Fargo Bank received criticism for their compliance with the “young thugs”, their inaction, and the indifference to the security of bank customers. Many on social media used the event as yet another catalyst for renouncing their role as the insurers of last resort for the United States Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (US FDIC), bemoaning the dismal state of America’s monetary policy, financial institutions’ generally and the government’s disregard for the wellbeing of taxpayers.
So-called “bitcoin maxis”, “crypto bros” and memecoin enthusiasts alike, during a particularly precarious week of bull market enthusiasm and dubious momentum in trading price action, quickly coopted the meme as immortalizing a scrappy band of unlikely heroes, icons of their movement toward digital self-sovereign financial security and away from traditional banking establishments. Tweets wishing the boys “Godspeed” and dovetailing with the “I ain’t see nuttin’” meme became bulwarks for proponents of the cryptosphere.
Cryptocurrency traders across every realm of social media began self-identifying with this cadre of “Little Rascals”.
Godspeed, boys. Godspeed. pic.twitter.com/zkpkoisJET
